A virtual home base for People of Color who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Genderqueer, Genderfluid, Gender Non-Conforming, Transgender, Transsexual, Two-Spirit, Same Gender Loving, Pansexual / Panloving, non-heterosexual / non-straight, and/or People of Color with Intersex Bodies

1. QPOConnection is a working compilation of existing web resources that serves as a virtual home base for community, resources, events, and information.

2. QPOConnection also aims to connect featured poets, multi-disciplinary artists, musicians, DJs, filmmakers and speakers with those interested in booking individuals or groups for conferences, college campuses, community events, educational programming, etc.

3. For the purpose of this website, People of Color includes people whose ancestry, cultural heritage, and lived experience are of Native / Indigenous / First People, Chicano/a, Latino/a, Asian, Pacific Islander, African, Middle Eastern, and/or Mixed Race decent.

4. For the purpose of this website, QPOC, Queer People of Color, Queer and Transgender People of Color, LGBTQI People of Color, and LGBTSTGNC (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two-Spirit, Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming) will be used interchangeably. This does not suggest that any one or all of these identity based groups are inclusive of the various ways we self-identify.

5. This site is primarly a US-based web resource that currently exists in the English language but acknowledges the limitations of this starting point. We also acknowledges the limitations of this resource being web-based, as access to the internet is privileged.

6. This site is by no means all-inclusive of QPOC resources, current and upcoming events, etc. Some aspects, including featured artists & speakers may be California-heavy, as the author's networks are based in this state. Some are multi-disciplinary and may not be in every category. Some artists may also do speaking engagements and facilitate workshops, etc. Contact the individual or group for more information.
