Tongue to Tongue: Provoking Critical Dialogues Among Queer Women of Color
September 2007, Los Angeles, CA
Two-day event including poetry, art exhibit, performance, workshops & speakers. Tongue to Tongue was produced by and for queer women, genderqueer, transgender, and gender non-conforming people of color, with key sponsorships from our allies in the community. Together with
independent scholars, educators, artists, academics and community
activists we sought to address questions of race, poverty, sexuality,
gender, violence and health as well as legal, civil and human rights.
We hope that through those dialogues we will develop a platform for action to organize a movement to change the landscape for
LGBTQI people in Los Angeles and beyond. This event was documented and
will be archived in the Southern California Library of South Central.
